Tim has lived and worked in Oxford for much of his life.

During the day, he works in Local Government. At night, he devotes his time to writing, illustration and YouTube.

Now in the Autumn of his youth (mid-fifties to you), he thought he would have a go at writing a book. He woke one day and wrote Now Them, his soon-to-be-self-published first novel.

He does not have any prior experience in creative writing. The closest he came was developing business cases and other project-related documents. However, he read a few books and watched a fair few lovely people on YouTube, and set about it.

They say to write what you know. He fell asleep during the wonderful film adaptation of Still Alice (about Alzheimers) and woke up, unaware of what was happening or where he was. The irony was not lost on him. He married these feelings with his own brand of humour and life experiences, in Oxford, then wrote the book over the best part of a year.

He has been working through the maze of advice and options regarding self-publishing and can see he is getting closer to the finish line.

Buoyed by the experience, he is writing a follow-up entitled Now Them Two. He put a great deal of effort into this title; you know.

Not content with writing, he creates illustrations of his characters and anything that takes his fancy. Please don't ask him why the people he draws don't have facial features; he gets a little frustrated. "Noses and mouths are too hard, alright!”

Hi, this is Tim.
